The exhibition "0 Years of Concéntrico - Logroño International Festival of Architecture and Design" is curated by arh. Javier Peña- Ibañez (Spain) and arh. Justin Baroncea (Romania) and is presented as part of Romanian Design Week with the support of Instituto Cervantes Bucharest.

Instituto Cervantes in Bucharest in collaboration with the Concentrico International Festival of Architecture and Design in Logrono presents an exhibition of photography and architectural models, a selection of the most representative moments of one of the most important ephemeral architecture festivals in Spain.

Concéntrico was founded in 2015 as the International Festival of Architecture and Design of Logroño, an annual event that invites reflection on the urban environment and the city. Conceived as a laboratory for urban innovation with an international focus, the project encourages people to explore the city through installations, exhibitions, meetings, and activities that propose new collective uses, strengthening the sense of community in public spaces.
Since its inception, the festival has brought together over 160 urban interventions created by national and international teams of architects and designers who have experimented with new approaches to environmental design across its ten editions. In doing so, it fosters a dialogue between the city, its heritage, and contemporary architecture, encouraging public reflection on these spaces.

New Season 24/25
Concéntrico presents its new season with a renewed approach, featuring a wide range of initiatives and formats in cities such as Milan, Bucharest Barcelona, Madrid and Logroño—marking a decade of architectural and urban innovation.
This program stands out for introducing new formats that address contemporary challenges, including, for the first time, a call for the design of a permanent project, as well as educational programs, exhibitions, and itinerant events that promote civic engagement. By expanding its reach and establishing new dates in different locations, Concéntrico aims to revitalize the dialogue between designers and communities, enriching the festival experience and its relevance in today’s context.

On the occasion of the exhibition presented at the Romanian Design Week 2025, Javier Peña- Ibañez will give a talk on the Concentrico Festival, a successful model of what European institutional collaboration means, working with associated entities committed to the cultural, educational, urban and environmental development of cities. A good example of "Glocal", starting in a small city like Logroño and becoming, through the impressive number of participants and the media coverage it has received, a prestigious international festival.
