The Institute has invited 64 Romanian and international professionals to select the designers, architects and studios for the exhibition that will bring to the public Romanian projects completed in the last two years.
The initiative aims to bring together and promote as many examples of good practice as possible, to connect designers and architects with the general public and also to raise the standards of local projects.
The call attracted over 430 projects, from the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fashion, Product Design.
The projects underwent a first judging session during which the RDW Community - participants from the last call exhibition of the festival (2021 edition), drew up a shortlist. Their pre-selection will be the starting point for an online archive of best practices in design and architecture, designed to contribute to raising market standards, and the collection of projects will be permanently available outside the festival.

Based on the pre-selection made by the RDW Community, a group of Romanian and international curators will make the final selection of the projects that will be exhibited at the Romanian Design Week festival.

For architecture: Corvin Cristian, founder Corvin Cristian Studio and Dario Franchini and Diego Calderon (CH/ MX), founders DF_DC, architecture and urban design studio based in London and Lugano;
Interior design: Eliza Yokina, senior partner in Cumulus and founding member of "De-a Arhitectura" and Nikoline Dyrup Carlsen (DK), founder of Spacon & X, multidisciplinary design and architecture studio in Copenhagen;
Fashion: Lucian Broscățean, fashion designer and Director of the Fashion Department of UAD Cluj-Napoca and Julian Roberts & Mari Bendeliani (GB/GE), fashion designers;
Graphic Design: Radu Manelici, Designer and Joost Grootens (NL), Graphic Designer;
Illustration: Paula Rusu, Illustrator and Graphic designer and Rick Berkelmans (NL), illustrator and founder of Hedof creative studio;
