  • content, Festival news

For the second consecutive year, Romanian Design Week presents RDW Open Air, the festival format that addresses the need for social interaction and networking in a safe and open space. Art and design enthusiasts will be able to enjoy interactive outdoor installations at Combinatul Fondului Plastic, the festival`s main venue this year, and the host of this format.

Designed by Zeppelin Design, the main goal of RDW Open Air is to provide a fun and relaxing outdoor environment where participants can unwind through play.

RDW Open Air

dubLU, a game by UniCredit Bank

Engages the audience in a simple yet fun activity. The game method is not complicated at all: Two teams of 2 or 3 participants play 2 sets out of 3. The first team to reach 3 points wins the set. In matches with a minimum of 4 players, each team has a striker and a goalkeeper, positioned in between, on either side of the table.

All the visitors need is good will and the two pieces without which the game cannot take place: UniDrive and UniPuck.

ALTfel installation by Absolut

A different kind of urban furniture (ALT in Romanian translates as different), adapted for alternative conversations. The public has one of the following possibilities: either sit high on the A(bsolut) chair, or sit carefree on the extruded L(aturi) armchair, or ride the T(ractor), the mobile bench that takes you right in the middle of the conversation. Whichever they choose, it will be an unforgettable experience, one that they will enjoy #together.

For everyone who plans on getting to RDW by bike, Urban Monkey has a great creative solution. Earlier this year, together with RDW, the brand organized a bike raffle contest. The three winning raffles will be on display and also ready to use at RDW Open Air.
Urban Monkey encourages riding on two wheels and supports optimists who want to make the city a better place. For every bottle sold, 5 cents go to projects that improve the quality of life.
