Tucked away in a small Transylvanian town, co/rizom not only discovered Vasilică Isăcescu - a traditional wood carver collecting wild herbs to make a living but also antiques folk chairs in the local museum. They immediately recognised the iconic strength of these objects & created seven ‘little monsters’.
co/rizom is committed to a responsible and sustainable model of production, one that protects the essential craft skills and artisan knowledge of small-scale makers around the world.
They connect artisans with the support they need to turn their heritage craft skills into viable livelihoods, integrating their unique products into the global supply chain. The name co/rizom is related to the rhizome. noun: a continuously growing horizontal underground stem capable of forming new plants by producing a network of roots and shoots.

They paired them with patchwork pillows created by Wiener Times available through the co/rizom sales network.
